cPraise the Lord, my soul!
2 I will praise the Lord dwhile I live;
I will esing praises to my God while I

have my being.
3 gDo not trust in noblemen,
In
Lit a son of man
mortal iman, in whom there is jno salvation.
4 His kspirit departs, he lreturns to
Lit his earth
the earth;
On that very day his nplans perish.
5 oBlessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose phope is in the Lord his God,
6 Who qmade heaven and earth,
The rsea and everything that is in them;
Who skeeps
Or truth
faith forever;
7 Who uexecutes justice for the oppressed;
Who vgives food to the hungry.
The Lord wfrees the prisoners.

8 The Lord xopens the eyes of those who are blind;
The Lord yraises up those who are bowed down;
The Lord zloves the righteous.
9 The Lord aawatches over strangers;
He
Or relieves
,
acsupports the fatherless and the widow,
But He
Lit bends
thwarts aethe way of the wicked.
10 The Lord will afreign forever,
Your God, Zion, to all generations.
